Bases Class I Recall -
Salmonella (Update)
Basic Food Flavors Inc., a supplier of Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein (HVP), announced
a Class I Recall recently due to the possibility of contamination by Salmonella. Nestle,
maker of Minor’s products, placed a number of items “on hold” at our distribution centers
until they could determine the relative risk associated with consumption of their products.
That “hold” has now been released, and Nestle is stating that the products are safe if they
